In October 2024, a new kindergarten building, Tähystäjän päiväkoti, was completed in Espoonlahti, Finland, under the contract of  LTR-Rakennus Oy. This is one of the largest kindergartens in Finland, with a total of 294 education places and facilities for 53 staff members. The courtyard of the kindergarden building includes several courtyard buildings, for the finishing of the eaves of the green roofs of which Peltitarvike has delivered stylish green roof edge trims made of acid-resistant steel.

One-piece green roof edge trims for easy installation

A total of 185 metres of Peltitarvike's green roof edge trims were installed on the green roofs of the courtyard buildings. The site was supplied with profiles with both perforated and solid profiles. The perforated profile allows excess water to drain from the eaves into the gutters. In addition to the standard-sized trims, the delivery included ready-made corner pieces, which made it easier to create a stylish ensemble.

Installation friendliness has been taken into account in the design of Peltitarvike's green roof edge trims. In the one-piece structure of the green roof edge trims, the edge trim is combined with a integrated eave flashing, which facilitates and speeds up the installation of the product. In addition, the trims and corner pieces fit together effortlessly with the help of integrated guide pieces. The trims were installed at the site by the green roof contractor, Pelti-Ässät Oy.

It's good when the corner pieces are ready and look neat. In addition, the one-piece green roof edge trim is quick to install. It is ready in one go when compared to competitors.
