Fall protection

There is always a risk of falling when moving and working on roofs and heights. Cleaning roof drains, removing snow or repairing rooflight domes are typical situations involving a high risk of falling over the roof. Falling can occur from the roof, through the roof, through the roof opening or when slipping on the roof, also from flat roofs. In general, there is a particular risk of falling when a person is within two metres of the free edge.

PITO roof safety products for fall protection

Roof safety products

Safe movement and work on the roofs of properties is made possible by durable, correctly dimensioned and installed roof safety products. The most recommended way to implement fall protection is a lifeline system that covers the entire roof, along which the number releases from lifeline system are kept to a minimum. In addition to the lifeline system, individual roof anchor points can be used in necessary places, such as at the entrances and exits and in the corners of the roofs. Create a safe working environment with reliable, PITO™ roof safety products that are integrated into the structure.

Fall protection design

Safe movement and working at heights starts with proper design. In new buildings, the design of fall protection is usually the responsibility of an architect or structural engineer. The fall protection of the building must be designed in such a way that there is safe and easy uninterrupted access to all areas requiring maintenance, inspections or upkeep of the building. We help you design site-specific, correctly dimensioned fall protection solutions with PITO™ roof safety products!

Installation and inspection of roof safety products

Installation of the PITO™ Greenline lifeline system is subject to authorisation. Peltitarvike's own installers are always responsible for installing the PITO™ Greenline lifeline system between PITO™ roof anchor posts or anchor points. Our installers document all projects and the installation report, operating instructions and plans are attached to the material folder to be handed over to the customer.

Roof safety products on the roof of the property must be inspected annually, including the PITO™ Greenline lifeline system. The annual inspection ensures that the system is operational and guarantees a safe working environment for those moving on the roof. Roof safety products should be inspected by a qualified professional.
